Cathryn Crisler Buckler, age 99, passed away January 9, 2017, at St. Catherine Center, Waco, Texas. A private graveside service will be held on January 21, at Waco Memorial Park. Cathryn was born April 30, 1917, in Waco, to C.W. and Carolyn Crisler. She grew up here in Waco. She married William Harding Buckler, whom she met in the sixth grade, on November 18, 1940. She was a homemaker and mother to four daughters. She was a lifelong member of Austin Avenue Methodist Church. Cathryn was preceded in death by her husband on August 9, 1990. She is survived by four daughters, Margie (John) Kerr of Tucson, Arizona, Betty (Tim) Thompson of Ft. Worth, Kathy Lau of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Sally (Ed) Rust of Bloomington, Illinois. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Bill Kerr, Carolyn Kerr Armstrong, Tracey Thompson, Timothy Thompson, Trent Thompson, Brian Woodward, and Barry Rust; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret Crisler Byrne.
