Cecil ''Curly'' Deckle

DEKLE, CECIL CURLY Cecil Curly Dekle, age 85, of Tokio died Sunday, February 17, 2002 at his residence. Services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, February 20 at Tokio Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Durango, Texas. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, February 19 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Dekle was born July 12, 1916 in Durango, Texas to May Howze and John Sowden Dekle. He was a member of Tokio Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army in 1945 and worked as a truck driver most of his life. Mr. Dekle is preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Dekle; three sons, Ralph Roy Dekle, Cecil Wayne Dekle and Glen Dekle; daughter Cecilia of Waco; grandson James Ballentine; five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife Eula Mae Aycock Dekle; daughters Pat Ballentine and husband B.J. and Neoma Ballentine of West; stepsons Jimmy Gillaspie of West, Mickey Gillaspie and wife Debbie of McGregor and Jerry Gillaspie and wife Michelle of Michigan; 26 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law Virginia Dekle of Waco and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Willis, Jerry Willis, Jimmy Gillaspie, Mickey Gillaspie, Garland Ballentine and Michael Ballentine. Mrs. Dekle and her children want to thank Hillcrest Community Hospice, head nurse Judy Richard, care taker Charles Walker and all the staff for their dedication to Cecil. God bless you.
