Chad Edward Redding, age 40, passed away on April 24, 2024, in Houston, Texas.


Services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Chad's uncle, Stuart Redding, will be officiating. In lieu of a traditional burial, Chad will be cremated, and his ashes will one day be scattered in the ocean, a place he deeply loved.


Born in Hillsboro, Oregon, November 19, 1983, and raised in Waco, Texas, Chad graduated from China Spring High School in 2002 before continuing his education at the University of North Texas. He had a boundless passion for traveling and adventure, having visited destinations like Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, and many places across the United States, including California, Sedona Arizona, Colorado, and North Carolina.


Chad was known for his enormous heart and dedication to helping others. His last decade was devoted to his work at Reclaim Wellness, a company he founded to help individuals combat illnesses through holistic and spiritual healing methods. His company’s mantra, "Stop fighting your illness and start feeding your wellness," reflects his approach to care—ensuring each client felt seen and heard.


An avid outdoorsman, Chad loved scuba diving, camping, and simply being in nature, where he felt most at peace. His deep spirituality was evident in his holistic healing methods and his everyday interactions with those around him.


Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Barbara Redding, and John Kalmbach.


He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Karen Redding; his brothers, Joshua Redding and his wife, Katherine, and Branson Redding and his wife, Kayla; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are like family.


Honorary pallbearers will include his brothers, Joshua and Branson Redding; cousins Clint, Matthew, and Seth Redding; and lifelong friends Gene Umberger, Errin Greene, and John Passmore.
