Charlene Nona Krupicka October 31, 1929 June 21, 2014 Charlene Nona Bedrich Krupicka died Saturday, June 21, 2014 following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday , June 24, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 N. New Road, in Waco. Visitation will be 6 p.m. 8 p.m., Monday, June 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Charlene was born on October 31, 1929, in Meeks, Texas, in rural eastern Bell County to Charles and MarieMarekBedrich. She attended the Meeks school through the 8th grade and then attended Rogers High School, graduating in 1947. Charlene married Ben Krupicka on March 20, 1948, in Temple. It was a marriage that was to last sixty-four years. Following their wedding, Ben and Charlene made their home in Waco where Charlene was a stay-at-home Mom, taking care of her children and family. After the children were raised, she worked as a florist at the Brookview Flower Shop, Roy's Flower Shop, and The Arrangement Gallery. Charlene is preceded in death by her husband, Ben, her parents, and her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Johnny Zabcik. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Krupicka and wife, Juanita, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Paul Krupicka and wife, JoAnn, of Waco; one daughter, Kathy Husak, and husband, Fred, of Robinson; six grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way. The family would like to thank the tremendous staff at St. Elizabeth's at Providence Park, and Christina Cobb and Juana Orozco for the loving care given to Charlene. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
