Charles Ray Williams May 8, 1934 - June 18, 2015 Charles Ray Williams of Waco passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church with Pastor Amos Humphries officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Charlie was born May 8, 1934, in Rosebud, Texas to O.D. and Maurine Williams. He graduated from Waco High in 1952, and followed in his father 's footsteps to became a journeyman electrician. Charlie passed his Master 's electrician exam in 1977, and he and Jeanne established Williams Electric. He continued to offer exceptional electrical services until he retired in 1997. Charles was an active member and deacon of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church and absolutely adored his church family!! He talked about pastor Amos Humphries and all of the positive changes there every chance he got! He was so proud!! All who knew Sweet Pea, as he was known to those who loved him, felt loved. He loved deeply and completely!! He spoke kindly of all and constantly bragged on his family including grandchildren and great grandchildren. We apologize now for all the stories his friends had to endure but he bragged equally on his friends!! We will miss his infectious smile and wonderful hugs. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, James Grisham. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanne Williams; sons, Mike Williams and wife, Rhonda, and Barry Williams and wife, Lori; his grandchildren, Michelle Fillip and husband, Jarrod, of Ross: Melanie Burrow and husband, Clayton, of West, Wesley Smith of Aquilla, Allison Williams, Audrey Files and husband, JT of Waco; plus five great grandchildren; his sister, Sylvia Grisham; and his brothers, Durwood Williams and wife, Jackie, James Butch Williams and wife, Debbie. Pallbearers are James Burroughs, Manny Edquist, Mark Bartholomew and the PLDBC deacons. Honorary pallbearers are Kathy Cowan, Esther Pursley, Ed Sharp, George Brinegar and the Brotherhood Sunday School Class.
