Charles Douglas Beatty

Charles Beatty went to be with the Lord Friday, September 16, 2022, with his loving wife of 68 years by his side. He was a Christian man of Baptist faith and a wonderful husband. He was born April 7, 1932 to Jack and Opal Beatty. He married the love of his life, Frances Robinson, June 26, 1954. They had many wonderful years together.

Charles honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He took great pride in serving his country.

He retired from the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Opal Beatty. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Frances Beatty, of Waco.

A graveside service honoring Charles’ life will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26. No visitation is scheduled.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
