Charles LaFayette Yarbrough, Jr. August 14, 1926 - November 18, 2009 Charles L. Yarbrough, Jr. of Waco passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Heart Hospital of Austin. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Dr. Tom Bedichek officiating. A private burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Charles was born August 14, 1926 in Alexander City, Alabama to Charles and Karilla Yarbrough, Sr. Charles has been a long-time member of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Waco, serving for many years as an elder. He was a 1949 graduate of Baylor University and worked over 40 years in pharmaceutical sales. Charles served as a scout leader for many years and was honored by the Boy Scouts of America with the Silver Beaver Award. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Karilla Yarbrough, Sr.; and his wife, Dorothy Jean Yarbrough. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Diana of Austin; Rick and Lynn of The Woodlands; and Tim Karen of Farmer's Branch; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition, he leaves behind his sister, Sandra Carrell of Paris, TX and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
