Charles ''Mox'' Zink

August 1, 1922 — November 30, 2003

ZINK, CHARLES MOX Charles Wesley Zink, age 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 30, 2003 at Greenview Manor Nursing Home. As per his request, there will be no memorial service held. Mr. Zink was born August 1, 1922 in Edgewood, Texas. He and his family moved to Dallas where he attended Dallas Technical High School. He joined the United States Coast Guard during World War II. After returning from military service he attended Southern Methodist University and married Juanita Hyde who preceded him in death in 1950. He remarried Peggy Travis of Dallas in 1957; she also preceded him in death in 1999. He retired from Aetna Insurance after twenty five years of employment as a regional Claims Supervisor. He and his family moved to Waco in 1968. After relocating to Waco he became a member of the Woodland West Golf Club now known as Western Oaks Golf Club located in Woodway. Over the past thirty-five years he was known as “Mox” by many of his dear friends at the club. Survivors include daughter, Charlene Packard and husband, Tim of Waco; sons, Travis Zink and wife, Amanda of Robinson, Larry Zink of Irving, and Ron Zink and wife, Candy of Naperville, Illinois; grandchildren, Valerie and Chelsea Vasser, Paige, Tyler and Madison Zink, and Britt, Casey, and Brittany Zink; great grandchildren, Savannah and Noelyn Zink; sisters, Doris Rebolt of Ohio, Ruby Hodges of Irving, and Pat Zink of Dallas.
