Charles P. Hessdoerfer

August 31, 1913 — March 18, 2002

HESSDOERFER, CHARLES P. Charles P. Hessdoerfer, age 88, of Waco died Monday, March 18, 2002. Services will be held at 10:00am Thursday, March 21 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Ken Kesselus officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, March 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Hessdoerfer was born August 31, 1913 in Waco to Oscar and Minnie Hessdoerfer. On June 8, 1944, he married Selma Fleischhauer in Waco. He was retired from Sears Roebuck and Company, where he worked for over 30 years. He loved to dance and was a member of several dance clubs: Cabaret, Star Dust, Sul Ross and Young at Heart. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, where he served as an usher in the early service for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great BaBa. All who knew him will miss him and his wonderful sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Greg Howell of Waco; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Lori and Michael Mills of Tyler; grandson, Landon Howell of Houston; great-grandson, Trenton Mills of Tyler; sister, Audrey Hart of New York and his special dog, Frieda; and many friends. Pallbearers will be J.D. Mayes, Bill Bailey, Floyd Pack, Jimmy Johnson, Corky Lockridge, Raymond Fleischhauser, and Kenneth Ramsey. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or your favorite charity. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
