Charlie Olin Kornegay May 25, 1915 - April 23, 2013 Charlie Olin Kornegay of Waco passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. David Brown and Rev. Craig Klempnauer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Olin was born May 25, 1915, in Malone, Texas, to Charlie and Emma Kornegay. He worked and retired with over 37 years of service at the VA Hospital. Olin was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donnie Mae Kornegay; and son, Donald Kornegay. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Bullard and husband, Ben, of Waco; and son, Billy G. Kornegay and wife, Ginger, of China Spring, TX; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his sister, Opal Nichols of Hubbard, TX; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Kornegay, of Tacoma, WA. Pallbearers are Jesse, Garett, and Markum Rawls, Justin Adler and Camron Mills. Honorary pallbearers are Billy P. Kornegay, Terry W. Rawls, Brian and Aaron Kornegay, Leighton and Jon Bullard, Robert Mills, Britt McClung and David Jolliff. Memorials may be made to Grace Temple Baptist Church.
