CHARLIE R. JOHNSON Charlie Ray Johnson, 55, of Lorena, died Wednesday December 31, 2003 at a local hospital. Memorial Services will be 3:30pm Saturday, January 3, 2004 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will be 6pm until 8pm Friday at the funeral home. Charlie was born July 22, 1948 in Waco to the late Charlie Wayne and Aster A. Johnson. He attended Midway High School and later joined the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War for 13 months in country. He was awarded 2 two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He married Betty Williamson in Waco, 1970. He was a member of the American Legion Post #121. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved High School Football. Charlie was a loving Husband, Father and a treasured friend. The family wishes to give a special Thanks to Dr Dan Bell and Staff for all of their Caring, Kindness and Professionalism.
