Charlotte Payne Reese

REESE, CHARLOTTE PAYNE Charlotte Payne Reese, age 90, of Waco passed away Thursday, November 6, 2003 at a local nursing home. Memorial services will be held at 11am Monday, November 10 at Austin Ave. United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Robbins officiating. Mrs. Reese was born October 12, 1913 in Dallas to J. Howard and Lucille Woodward Payne. She attended North Dallas High School, Hockaday Preparatory School and Sullins College in Virginia. She and husband, James B. Reese, moved from Dallas to Waco in 1955. She retired from Baylor University as Registrar of the School of Law in 1982. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, J. Howard, Jr. and Walter Payne. Survivors include daughter, Jo Anne R. Norwood and husband, David E. of Dallas, sons, Jack P. Reese and wife, Louise of Dallas and William B. Reese and wife, Mary Ann of Kerrville, grandchildren, Karen Shaw, Doug Reese and wife, Laura, Dianna and Kristi Reese, Phil Norwood and Brian Norwood and wife, Teresa and great grandchildren, Annie and Paul Shaw and Payne and Gage Reese. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that persons desiring to honor Mrs. Reese, donations may be made to Baylor Law School Endowed Scholarship Fund, c/o Dean Brad Tobin, Baylor Law School, P. O.
