Christel Baker July 8, 1938 - December 14, 2013 Christel Baker of Waco passed away Saturday, December 14, at Westview Manor. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Christel was born July 8, 1938, in Waco, Texas to William and Opal Gotcher. She worked at the V.A. Hospital in Waco for 35 years. She was also a member of Highland Baptist Church. She loved her family and grandkids dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Kenneth L. Baker. She is survived by two sons, Philip Baker and wife, Patricia, of Katy, TX and Mark Baker and wife, A.J. Baker, of Hewitt, TX; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
