Christine Carrigan Ruiz

June 7, 1967 — September 22, 2022

Christine Carrigan Ruiz, 55, of Waco, passed away September 22, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Christine was born in Arlington, Texas, June 7, 1967. She grew up in Lampasas and moved to Waco, where she met and married Lawrence (Larry) Ruiz. Christine worked as a Customer Service Representative and loved working with people. She loved her two dogs, Cheech and Chong, who sat at her feet as she worked on her crafts. She had a love for black-and-white movies and loved music.

She will be missed by her family and friends who she loved spending time with and was known as giving, helpful, and as the person who was always there with a helping hand. That reflects the kind of person she was. She registered to be an organ donor to help others in need.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cammie Marie Rogers.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Ruiz; children, Carlos Rogers II and Camille Alexandra Rogers; father, Dale Gene Carrigan; and mother, Norma Jean Carrigan; brother, Scott Carrigan and wife, Sharon; sisters, Lorrie Lyons and husband, Andra, Kathy Stifflemire and husband, Keith; and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Baylor Scott & White, Scott and White in Temple, and Amanda Scott and Sarah Stovall with Southwest Transplant Alliance.
