Christine Ilse Hendrix

Christine Ilse Hendrix December 14, 1932 - September 9, 2015 Christine Ilse Hendrix of Waco passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her residence. Her memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Christel was born December 14, 1932, in Mayen, Germany, to Sebastian and Anna Hellmuth. Soon after WWII she was taken to her grandmother's home in West Germany. Later she cared for the children a U.S. Army Air Corps officer. When Col. Weil and family transferred back to the States in 1960, Christel came with them, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1970. For many years she worked in the interior decorating industry, operating her business, Sew What. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Glen Hendrix of Waco; step-son, Glen Hendrix and wife, Sharon of Houston; and step-daughter, Debbie Williams and husband, James, of Waco; brother, Ralf Hellmuth; sister, Marlies Voss; niece, Petra Voss; great nieces, Lea Voss, Luca Voss and Lisett Hellmuth, all of Germany.
