Christine Marie Peden

Christine Marie Peden, 37, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2005, at her home. Christine died peacefully in her sleep of heart failure related to diabetes with which she had lived for many years. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, November 22 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waco. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Monday, November 21 in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Christine was born on December 18, 1967 in New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of Baylor University and a teacher of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children at the Waco Montessori School and South Bosque Elementary for 14 years. Christine loved children and loved teaching them. She was an accomplished musician, having received a full scholarship to Baylor in cello performance. During her life, she played with many string quartets as well as the Houston Youth, Baylor, Waco and San Angelo symphonies. Her greatest love, however, was being a mother to her two children, Ashley, age 10, and Rob, age 8, for whom she would have given anything. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, R. Scott Peden; her two beautiful children, Ashley and Rob; mother, Christine Mary Perkins, of Pasadena; sister, Susanne Rose of Houston and brother John Perkins, of Pasadena. Pallbearers will be Baxter Bailey, Barrett Bailey, Brennan Bailey, Brooklin Bailey, Ronnie Glaesmann, James David Peden, Robert James Peden and John William Perkins.
