Christopher Rogers Clifton

Christopher Rogers Clifton, 38, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many passed away, Wednesday, December 18, 2024. After a family burial at Oakwood Cemetery, a celebration of life service will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, Woodway at 11:00 am, Monday, December 23, 2024.

Chris was born February 18, 1986 in Waco to Laura and Bill Clifton. He attended Vanguard College Preparatory School and graduated from Waco High School in 2004. After graduation he attended Texas A&M and graduated from UT Dallas with a business degree, working first as a landman and then as an investor.

Early in his life, Chris became an avid fisherman and hunter with his grandfather, Lacy Clifton. He continued that love of the outdoors and hunting with his dogs, friends and family at our country home in Centerville, Texas. He was also a sports fan, especially anything Texas A&M.

Chris was a fun loving, honest, loyal and generous friend and a kind, respectful, and extremely loving son.

Chris is survived by his parents, Laura and Bill Clifton; his brother, Will Clifton and his wife, Jordan; nephew, Jude Clifton; his beloved dog companions, Dixie and Becky; along with extended family and a multitude of lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia and W. Lacy Clifton, Betsy Anne and Leonard Mixson and nephew, Lionel Jude Clifton.

Serving as pallbearers are Parnell McNamara, James Beard, Trevor Beuerlein, Sam Teer, Kris Kizer and J.D. Blacklock.
