POOLE, CITA CATHERINE Cita Catherine Poole, age 83, of Waco, Texas died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at a Waco nursing facility. Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, February 15 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. in Waco with Rev. Don Lofton officiating. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday, February 24 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial will be at Irish Grove Cemetery, Middletown, Illinois. Mrs. Poole was born November 10, 1919 in Koritnica, Slovenia to Joseph and Catherine Mrack Brouch. She moved to Springfield, Illinois at the age of five years, where she lived most of her life. She had lived in Waco for the past two and a half years. She married James Poole in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1948. She was employed at Allis-Chambers Manufacturing Company for 30 years. Mrs. Poole was a longtime member of the Slovenian Lodge. She was active as a volunteer in Seniorama in Springfield. She loved working in her yard and dearly loved her grandchildren. Survivors include daughter, Diane K. Baker and husband, Jay of Hewitt, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Baker and wife, Julie of Corona, California, Michelle Baker of Davis, California, and Kevin Baker and wife, Lisa of West Sacramento, California; great grandchildren, Joshua, Chad, Tyler and Kaitlyn; sister, Olga Baker of Springfield, Illinois, sister-in-law, Beryle Brouch of New Holland, Illinois; nieces, Virginia Hughes of Mason City, Illinois and Kathy Brouch of Springfield, nephew, William Brouch of Pekin, Illinois, and many close friends.
