Claire Conger Garner

Claire Conger Garner October 28, 1938 – January 25, 2007 Claire Conger Garner, 68, of Waco passed away on January 25, 2007. Graveside services are at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 5 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Claire was a Wacoan almost all of her life. She was born in Dallas, TX on October 28, 1938 to Roger Norman and Lacy Rose Hammond Conger. Her family moved to Waco in 1942. She attended Waco High School and Baylor University before her marriage. She had an older brother, Roger Lacy Conger, who died on August 20, 1960 in a car accident in Germany. In 1970 she married Carl Lee Garner and they were married for 16 years, until his death in 1986. Claire loved life and loved people. She loved God and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Waco and Crestview Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Norman Conger; her brother, Roger Lacy Conger; and Rosalyn Conger. She is survived by her mother, Lacy Rose Hammond Conger, of Waco.
