Lusk, Clarence Clarence B. Lusk, 82, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005 in a local nursing home. Services will be Wednesday, April 27 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norm Steinke officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, April 26 from 6 to 8:00 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey in the Garden Room. Mr. Lusk was born November 25, 1922 in Dewey, Oklahoma to O. E. and Maude Tepner Lusk. While in high school, he earned the Eagle Scout award. He graduated from Dewey High School and Oklahoma University at Norman. He entered the U. S. Navy and served in World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Hercules in 1987 in the capacity of Director of Plant Operations. He volunteered in S.C.O.R.E. and also volunteered his services for income tax preparations through A.A.R.P. He was a loving and caring son, husband, father and grandfather and was a friend to all people. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jonathan Stringer. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Lusk; three daughters, Linda Kay Lusk of Waco, Mary Jane Miller and husband Jack of Fort Worth and Betty Ann Ferguson and husband Keith of Waco; grandchildren, Shelley and Suzannah Stringer, Tripp and Elizabeth Miller and Allen and Lauren Ferguson; sisters, Joreta Campbell and husband John of Granbury; brother, Dudley Lusk & wife Dink of Naperville, Illinois. Pallbearers will be Walter Seeger, Paul Gibson, Bob Doty, Fred Ferguson, O. E. Blythe, Emmett Funderburk, Bill Becker and Joe Strakos. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Klein, John Merkh, Bill King, Keen Franklin and Richard O’Shields. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church building fund.
