OBITUARY FOR CLARENCE McKAMIE Clarence McKamie, 90, of Waco, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2001 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 11, 2001 at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church, 3701 N. 27th St., Waco, with Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Burial will be at Moody Cemetery. Family visitation will be 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington. Mr. McKamie was born September 9, 1911 on a farm in the Moody area. He married Elouise Stringer on October 24, 1934 and shared the rest of his life with her. Mr. McKamie was a farmer in the Moody area for many years prior to moving to Waco where he worked for First United Methodist Church until his retirement. He was an ordained Baptist deacon and a long time member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. He touched many lives during his long life. He was a gentle loving man who will be missed by his family and many friends. Mr. McKamie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elouise McKamie of Waco; son, Bobby McKamie and his wife Mary Beth of Chalk Bluff; daughter, Marie Aycock and her husband Jimmie Don of Killeen; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Alvie McKamie of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Rev. J. Wayne McKamie of McGregor; sister, Inez Meacham of San Angelo. Pallbearers: Brant McKamie, Jimmie Aycock, Codie Smith, Gary Newman, Ranjan Muttiah and Blake McKamie Honorary Pallbearers: Blane McKamie and Zachary Newman Memorials may be made to Park Lake Drive Baptist Church Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey
