Cleo Fowler Meeker April 15, 1917 - August 30, 2006 Cleo Meeker of Waco passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Stonegate Nursing Home of Ft. Worth. Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, September 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Chaplain Michael Downs officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 - 12:30 Saturday, September 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel. Cleo was born April 15, 1917 in Oletha, TX to Eugene and Alice Fowler. Cleo was a former teacher in the Waco Independent School District at Crestview Elementary and a teacher and member of the Board at Waco Christian School; member of Board of Trustees at Abilene Christian University; served as President of Waco Chapter of American Business Women’s Association; President of Waco Council of PTA for four terms; and started Reach To Recovery in Waco for the American Cancer Society. Cleo was a longtime member of Crestview Church of Christ in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Wesley Meeker and her two sisters, Mary Sanders and Mabel Baker. She is survived by her son, John Meeker and wife Kitty McClintock of Minneapolis, MN; her daughter Michele Meeker Rector and husband Reid of Ft. Worth, TX; son, Kelly Meeker of Lewisville, TX; and son, Mike Meeker and wife Tina of San Antonio, TX. The surviving grandchildren are: Ragan Rector, Jordan Rector, Christopher Meeker, Margaret Meeker Bjork, Charles Meeker, Edward Meeker and great-grandson, Aidan Meeker. Also surviving are nephew Sam H. Baker and wife JoAnna, nephew Ricky Fowler, niece Vicki Fowler Renfroe, sister-in-law Frances Fowler and many friends. Pallbearers are John Meeker, Kelly Meeker, Michael Meeker, Reid Rector, Ragan Rector, Christopher Meeker, Charles Meeker, and Edward Meeker.
