CLIFFORD COLEMAN Clifford E. Jimmy Coleman, age 84, of Waco, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in Payne Springs, TX. Services will be held at 11:30am Friday, February 7 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Ben Disney officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Thursday, February 6 at the funeral home. Mr. Coleman was born July 5, 1918 in the community of Kirvin, where he was reared and educated. He had been a resident of Waco for over 60 years. Mr. Coleman was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He married Anita Elizabeth Griffin on January 10, 1947. Mr. Coleman worked for L.L. Sams Co. for 40 years. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where he attended the Galilean Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith A. Coleman, on July 14, 2001, and by two brothers, Randall and Furney. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anita Coleman; sisters, Beth Christian and husband O.D. of Kirvin, and Floys Little and husband Gerrel of Teague; sister-in-law, Jane Coleman of Trinidad; brothers, John Coleman and wife Neva of Kirvin, Jim Wallace Coleman and wife Juliette of Fairfield, and Joe Carter Coleman and wife Mary Ann of Arlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church.
