Why I Write Poetry Why do I write poetry, People want to know. That’s the only way I have, To let my feelings show. I love to write poetry, About little girls and boys. And how they bring their parents, A million little joys. I write about everyone, When they do something bad. I write a lot of happy poems, A few of them are sad. Some day when I grow old, And I can no longer see. I’ll lay my pen and paper down, And say that’s it for me. Clifford E.
