Connie Elizabeth Stanley

STANLEY, CONNIE Connie Stanley, 88, of Waco, passed away, Saturday, November 29, 2003 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 3pm Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Mount Calm Cemetery. Arrangements are through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Connie was born November 29, 1915 in Victoria, Texas to Donie Pirl Lester Stanley and Samuel Perry Stanley. She worked in the communication field her entire career. She enlisted in the WAAC on September 1, 1943 in San Antonio and served in communications in the American Theater Campaign in Germany before being discharged on October 2, 1946. She later was employed by SBC Communications until her retirement in 1979. After living in Chicago, Ill for more than 50 years, she moved to Waco to be closer to family. She is preceded in death by her parents and six sisters, Tennie Johnson, Robbie Curtis, Myrtis Hagemann, Ina Gay Stanley and Gladys Stanley and by four brothers, William G. Stanley, Cullen Stanley, Fred O. Stanley, and Lloyd Stanley. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Richard of Waco and Joyce Curtiss and husband Edward of Lake Buchanan and several nieces and nephews.
