Cordelle Timmons McDonald December 27, 1917 – June 6, 2007 Cordelle Timmons McDonald passed away June 6, 2007 in Fort Worth. Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 9 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Brian Gochenour officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Cordelle was born December 27, 1917 in Prairie Hill, TX to Joseph Emerson Timmons and Tommie Lou Hinson Timmons. Cordelle married Alton Lloyd McDonald November 30, 1939 in Waco, TX. She was a school teacher and taught at schools in Texas, Louisiana and Arizona. Upon their retirement in 1973, Cordelle and Lloyd moved to Waco. Cordelle was a very active member of New Road Church of Christ in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children: daughter, Sharon Kay Gipson and husband, Don of Irving, TX and son, Gerry Wayne McDonald of Waco, TX; grandchildren: Mark Gipson and wife, Tracy of Oklahoma City, OK, Lynette Hounchell and husband, Scott of Euless, TX; great grandchildren: Logan Farthing, Morgan Hounchell and Todd Hounchell. Also surviving are a brother, Hinson Timmons of Waco and a sister, Virginia Liddicoat of Waco. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of choice.
