Cort Hill Bordner, loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. The service in celebration of Cort’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 4, at Renew Church in Waco. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, September 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco. Cort was born on July 17, 1996 in College Station, Texas to Brock and Kelly Bordner. He graduated from Robinson High School in 2015. During his High School career, he enjoyed competing in football, soccer and track and was a member of the National Honor Society. Cort was involved in K-Life, a Christ-centered ministry, from 7th thru 12th grade. He started Taekwondo at a young age and earned a blackbelt at Family Martial Arts on August 1, 2009. Cort was presently studying at Blinn College to become a nurse. He loved to travel and during his short life he had the wonderful opportunity to visit several states such as New York, Illinois, Virginia, and Florida as well as the countries of China, Brazil, and England. One of his dreams was to go to Scotland. Cort was a history buff and truly enjoyed learning all he could about current events and politics. Above all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sammy Musia, and paternal grandparents, Jackie and Bonnie Bordner. He is survived by his parents, Kelly Bordner of Robinson and Brock Bordner of Chilton; his brother, Cole Bordner of Robinson; his grandmother, Jackie Musia of Hearne; his aunt, Teri Musia; cousin, Jordan Musia of Bryan; his aunt and uncle, Samantha and Dan Lister; cousins, Sydney, Caroline, Sarah-Jane, and Hudson Lister of Colleyville. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed at the Renew Church Website at https://www.renewchurchwaco.org/listen. It will also be recorded and may be viewed at a later date at the funeral home website at https://www.whbfamily.com/.
