CURTIS CALVIN REIERSON Curtis Calvin Reierson, 72, of Waco, passed away Friday, November 9th, 2001 in a local hospital. Services will be at 2:00p.m. Monday, November 12th, 2001 at First Lutheran Church, 1008 Jefferson with Pastor David Couchman & Monsignor Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Dr. Reierson was born April 18, 1929 in Fort Worth, Texas. He is a graduate of Waco High School and received his bachelor and masters degree from Baylor University. He received his doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin. He also studied at Harvard University, University of Colorado and the University of Edinburgh Scotland. He married Gerry Frederick in 1970 in Waco. Together they enjoyed traveling, interacting with students and attending Baylor athletic events and activities. He was a long-time member of First Lutheran Church. Dr. Reierson taught in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University for 43 years. He served as chairman of the Marketing Department for 22 years and retired in 1994. He sponsored the Baylor Chapter of the American Marketing Association. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eddie Dorothy Linnstaedt Reierson and father, Alvin J. Reierson. He is survived by his beloved wife Gerry of Waco and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Matt Johnson, David Johnson, David Zrubek, Jay Hurst, Scott Bialek and Dr. Donald Barker. Honorary pallbearers are Judge Derwood Johnson and the faculty of the Baylor Marketing Department.
