Curtis D. McClain Jr. October 9, 1921 - May 23, 2007 Curtis D. McClain Jr. of Waco passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Catherine's Center. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Curtis was born October 9, 1921 in Marlin to Curtis D. McClain and Katie L McClain. He graduated from Plainview High School and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He worked at the VA Regional Office in Waco for over 30 years. He and Frances Ann Holland were married for almost 40 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents and his brother, Wilson Burns McClain. He is survived by his sons, John McClain and wife, Carol of Houston; and Curtis McClain III of Waco; gandchildren, Ryan and Caitlyn McClain of Waco; and his life-long friend, John Sheehy, Jr. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
