Curtis James Snodgrass January 7, 1925 - April 29, 2009 Curtis James Snodgrass of Waco passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at St. Catherine's Center. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. John Wood officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Curtis was born January 7, 1925 in Falls County, Texas to Preston and Jessie Snodgrass. He worked for the City of Waco Street Department for 36 years, retiring in 1987. He was referred to by his fellow workers as "Pop". He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elsie Pryor, Foster, Roy Lee, Willie Claude, and Raymond Snodgrass. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Clara Snodgrass of Waco; daughters, Mildred "Mickey" Smith and husband, Earl "Bubba"; and Rosa Lee Busby and husband, Herman "Buddy"; one son, Curtis Preston Snodgrass and wife, Mickie Lynn; six grandchildren, Curtis Earl Busby, Tammy Smith-Culp, Sherry Busby, Mickie Lee Smith-Barnett, Mickie Lynne Smith-Copeland and William Snodgrass; and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Catherine's Center Third Floor or Providence Hospice.
