D L OWENS, 63, of Waco died Sunday, September 2, 2001 in a Waco hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at Bosqueville Cemetery, Rev. Woodson Harrell officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Owens was born July 4, 1938 in Santa Rosa. He was reared and educated in the Moody and Bruceville-Eddy area. He married Linda Page June 10, 1962. Mr. Owens retired from Sears & Roebuck after 20 years of service. After retirement he owned and operated Dee’s Appliance Service. He was a member of the Christadelphian Church in San Saba. “We love you, Papa.” Survivors include his wife Linda Owens of Waco, his mother Lela Owens of Lampasas, his daughter Cindy Branin and her husband Steve of Waco; his son Mike Owens and his wife Dina of Waco; three grandchildren: Dani and Mikey Owens and Cheyenne Branin; his brothers: Jackie Owens and his wife Elaine of Lampasas and Stanley Owens of Belmont, Miss.; a special sister Gladys Brown of Sparta, Tenn and numerous close relatives.
