Dale Wells DeWitt July 22, 1940 - May 23, 2012 Dale Wells DeWitt of China Spring passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at his residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. John Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Dale, "Chief", was born July 22, 1940, in Wright City, Oklahoma, to Jake and Cora DeWitt. He was self-employed at DeWitt Contracting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Cora Agnes DeWitt; a son, Gary Scott DeWitt; a brother, Billy DeWitt; and a sister, Mattie Jane Scarberry. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann DeWitt; three sons, Randy DeWitt and wife, Mary Jane, of China Spring, TX, Donnie DeWitt and wife, Carol, of Chalk Bluff, TX, and Jay DeWitt and wife, Jana, of China Spring; one daughter, Kathi DeWitt-Perry and husband, Steve, of Lone Oak, TX; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
