David Clifton Stanford September 7, 1957 - December 13, 2006 David Clifton Stanford of Lorena passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 16, at Lorena Cemetery with Rev. Danny Niedecken officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. David was born September 7, 1957 in Waco to Overton Clarence Stanford Jr. and Mary Ruth Stanford. He graduated from Midway High School and attended MCC and Oklahoma City University. He was a farmer and an independent accountant. David was the Past Master of the Denton Stanford Lodge in Lorena. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Stanford of Lorena; his brother, James Stanford; his aunt, Jean Herring and husband, Dillon; three nieces and one nephew; and his beloved dog, Pokey. Honorary pallbearers are Don Durst, David Smith, Charles Ortlip, Gary Mensch, Weldon Whatley and Wesley Stanford. David requested that memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Crippled Children’s Hospital of Dallas and the Shriner’s Hospital of Houston.
