David Frank Rodriguez, Sr. June 7, 1945 - October 6, 2014 David Frank Rodriguez, Sr. of Waco passed away Monday, October 6, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Benjamin Magnaye as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. David was born June 7, 1945, in Waco, Texas, to Erasmo and Julia Hernandez Rodriguez. He retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Plant after 33 years. He was a teacher and preacher of the Gospel and he and his wife, Susie, were leaders of the Tuesday night prayer group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. David loved to sing and he also loved to win lost souls for our Lord. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a passionate sports fan and was very loyal to the Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Bears. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sammy and Jody Rodriguez; and sister, Mary Padilla. He is survived by his wife, Susie Aguilar Rodriguez of Waco; sons, David Rodriguez and Ronnie Rodriguez and wife, Freddie; daughters, Deborah Turner, Dianna Flores and husband, Rafael and Yvonne Hudson and husband, Tim; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Carmen Campos, Virginia Riojas and husband, Augustine and Lilly Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
