David Grant Story April 16, 1976 June 14, 2015 David Grant Story, 39, of Hewitt lost his earthly battle from complications associated with quadriplegia on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco. Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at the funeral home. Grant was creative, authentic, genuine and adventurous. He touched the lives not only of those with whom he had relationships and there were many but he also touched lives of hundreds of people that he never knew with his courage and humor in the face of unspeakable adversity. He will forever be remembered for his smile that could light up a room and for his booming voice that could quiet a crowd. His love and knowledge of movies and music was legendary. He was a multi-faceted artist who wrote music and movie scripts, played in several bands and worked in the film industry in LA in various jobs. His artistic talents included freehand drawing, sculpting, writing, playing guitar and singing. He was a blessing to all who knew him and will be tremendously missed by family and so many friends and acquaintances. He is survived by his mother, Paula Story; his father, David Story and his sister, Shelley Story; his grandfather, Charlie Cooper, Sr., and numerous family members.
