David Leon Haddock December 18, 1940 - November 16, 2015 David Leon Haddock of Waco passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. His graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Dr. Malcolm McDow officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. David was born December 18, 1940, in Waco, Texas, to Edward Robert Haddock and Lula Jo Haddock. David graduated from University High. He worked for Wales and retired from Industrial Riggings Services. He loved his family first, antiques car shows, fishing, having coffee at Whataburger and playing golf with his friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Haddock; one brother, Robert Eugene Haddock; and one sister, Norma Jo Williams. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Haddock, of Waco; one son, Robert Edward Haddock and Casey Cheatham of Waco; four daughters, Patricia Thigpen and husband, Jason, of Austin, Kim Briggs and husband, Mike, of Valley Mills, Texas, Lacie Johnson and husband, Andy, of Waco and Dana Leggett and David Gagnon of Robinson; mother, Lula Jo Haddock; one sister, Linda Brackeen and husband, Johnny, of Waco; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston or the charity of your choice.
