David Mack Satterwhite September 8, 1944 - November 14, 2007 David Mack Satterwhite of Waco passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. One of David’s final wishes was to have no public funeral or memorial. In making this request, he asked that his family and friends remember him as he was before his illness. David requested that his ashes be scattered over his Granddaddy Christian’s family homestead in rural Freestone County. His wife and daughter have chosen to honor his requests. David was born September 8, 1944 in Teague, TX to Buddy and Ruby Satterwhite. He retired after 36 years at Sears Roebuck & Co. He also was a 40 year member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco where he taught Sunday School and served as an usher. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew and a sister-in-law. He is survived by his loving wife, Weldaleen of Waco; daughter, Candyce Boyer and husband, Sean of Mart and his “beloved and precious” granddaughter, Gracie. Also surviving are his two brothers, Chelmer and Benny Satterwhite of Teague and their families. Memorials may be made to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church or Hillcrest Community Hospice.
