BOONE, DEAN T. Dean T. Boone, of Waco went to heaven Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the age of 75. Services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, March 2 at Western Heights Baptist Church, 6301 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Mike Patterson officiating and Ken Thornton giving the eulogy. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Monday, March 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Boone was born in Camphill, Alabama June 25, 1928. She moved with her family to Waco during her early childhood and graduated from Waco High in 1945. Her life was distinguished by a variety of careers, all of which she excelled. Most importantly she was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tilman and Vera Thornton and brother, Jack. She is survived by her loving husband, Leon, “Baby” brother Kenneth, eight stepchildren, 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jack Thornton, Jr., Ross Thornton, Kenneth Boone, Daniel Boone, Ray Boone, and Jimmy Smith. Memorials may be made to Compassion Ministries of Waco.
