Deborah Kay Damon October 25, 1948 - April 1, 2015 Deborah Kay Damon of Lorena passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Debbie was born October 25, 1948, in Waco, to Adrain and Ruth Smiley. Her first love was her children and raising them. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Debbie also loved the 42 years that she spent working with her Hillcrest family, working as a nurse. She was a very loving and spiritual person. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Damon. She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Spindor of Waco; son, Jason Damon of Lorena; granddaughter, Zoe Spindor; sisters, Susan Beatty and husband, Chuck, Katy Snapp and husband, John; and a large beloved family. Pallbearers are Clint Beatty, Lance Beatty, Dylan Snapp, Colt Snapp, Brody Snapp and Wayne Musick. The family thanks everyone for their love and support during Debbie's life and her health challenges. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
