Deborah Kay Hahn

Deborah Kay Hahn April 11, 1958 - November 26, 2015 Deborah Kay Hahn of Waco passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, at First Lutheran Church with the Pastor Austin Nickel officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Debbie was born April 11, 1958, in Waco, Texas to Edwin Arthur and Melva Mickelsen Hahn. She graduated with honors from the Louise Herring School of Nursing at Baylor University, where she was a member of Alpha Tau Delta and later Sigma Theta Tau. She worked at both Providence and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco during her long career as an RN. Debbie was a caring and compassionate caregiver who mentored countless individuals new to the healthcare profession. Debbie was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church in Waco where she was a devoted member of the Lutheran Women’s Group. She was a patron of the Waco Symphony and a member of the Waco Women’s Lions Club. Debbie was also a volunteer at the Lake Air Montessori Magnet school. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her cousins, Johnnie Hahn and wife, Carolyn, Diane Hahn Huggard, Bill Hahn, and Pete Mickelsen and wife, Sheila; along with countless treasured friends. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Waco or The Louise Herring School of Nursing at Baylor University.
