Delphine Yvonne Squyres April 15, 1944 - April 10, 2014 Delphine Dale Yvonne Squyres of Waco passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Wesley Woods Health Care Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Charles Holm-Roesler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Olaf Cemetery, Cranfills Gap, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Dale was born April 15, 1944, in Clifton, Texas, to Julius and Dorothy Hastings Gustafson. Dale was a member of First Lutheran Church in Waco. She graduated from Waco High School in 1962 and then attended Four-C Business College. She was a secretary for many years. She and Jimmy W. Squyres were married on April 13, 1968. Dale taught Sunday school for many years at First Lutheran Church and always eagerly shared Bible verses thru cards and letters. She always had a prayer for those going through hard times or an illness and her faith never wavered. She loved working in her garden and enjoyed growing the most beautiful roses. Dale loved her grandkids and loved all of her nieces and nephews. Dale will be missed by many, but she is home with our Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and her brother, Ronnie Gustafson. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Gustafson of Waco; two sons, Shawn R. Squyres and wife, Pamela, of Bruceville Eddy, Texas, and Michael K. Squyres and wife, Cindy, of Hutto, Texas; grandchildren, Brannon, Jacob and Nicholaus Squyres of Bruceville Eddy and Clayton Squyres of Waco; brother, Wendell J. Gustafson and wife, Yolande, of Waco; and sister, Martha G. Hatcher and husband, Wayne, of Pocahontas, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Wesley Woods Care.
