Dennis Charles Wise February 12, 1956 - March 15, 2014 Dennis Charles Wise of Lorena passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Roy W. Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Dennis was born February 12, 1956, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Paul and Verna Mae Wise. He graduated from East Greene High School located in Grand Junction, Iowa. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1979, and then to Waco in 1980. He married Sandra Wise on November 24, 1984, and they were blessed with three wonderful sons. Dennis worked at Sherwin Williams for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and spending quality time with countless friends and family, including his five grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Sandra Wise; parents, Verna Mae and Paul Wise; brothers, Donald Wise and wife, Marcia, and David Wise; mother-in-law, Santina Beveridge; and brother-in-law, Ron Schauer. Dennis is survived by his sons, Michael Mercer and wife, Kassie, Adam Wise, and Phillip Wise and fianc, Kristin Robinson; grandchildren, Devin Mercer, Logan Mercer, Halie Mercer, Allison Dickey, and Edward Wise; brothers, Dan Wise and wife, Cindy, Doug Wise and wife, Amanda; sisters-in-law, Diane Wise, Patricia Curry and husband, Billy, Linda Schauer, and Nancy Beveridge; father-in-law, Thomas Beveridge; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he lovingly referred to as Sportsfans! Pallbearers are Jody Schauer, Daniel Curry, Nicholas Beveridge, Aaron Wise, Christopher Wise, Seth Wise.
