Dixie Roma Seith

Dixie Seith went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 16, 2017. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, at Waco Memorial Park with Reverend Kip Osborne officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Dixie was born March 15, 1933, in Rockwall, Texas, to Eldredge and Dixie Bailey Muncy. She went to church all her life and accepted Jesus as her Savior at age 19. She taught Sunday School for over 64 years. She taught at Kendrick Lane Baptist for 25 years and at Western Heights for 39 years. She taught the Agape Class for years. She was the volunteer church librarian from 1978-2016. She attended schools in Waco. She worked for 26 years as a librarian for Waco ISD and was an Honorary Life Member of the Texas PTA. She enjoyed watching baseball and football on TV with her husband, Elwood. They loved to travel and after retiring they drove to Alaska and back. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; three sisters; an infant son, Ronald Keith; and an infant great-grandson, Evan Seith. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Elwood Seith, Sr., of Waco; daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Garry Lightfoot of Bruceville; and son, (Woodi) Elwood Seith, Jr., and wife, Beth, of Bruceville; two granddaughters, Heather and husband, Steve Nunnelly, of Coronado, California, and Jaime and husband, Calvin Schaeper, of Lorena; three grandsons, Jeremy Lightfoot and wife, Heather Ann, of San Antonio, Caleb Seith and wife, Stacey, of Robinson, and Zachary Seith and wife, Cassandra, of Georgetown; four great-grand daughters, Joie Nunnelly of Coronado, Zoey Seith of Robinson, Abby Lightfoot of San Antonio, and Callie Schaeper of Lorena; four great-grandsons, Landry Lightfoot of San Antonio, Brody Schaeper of Lorena, Austin Seith of Robinson, and one on the way, Oliver Schaeper of Lorena; and several nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
