Dolores Elaine McKim April 9, 1931 - June 22, 2008 Dolores Elaine McKim of Waco passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008. There will be no services or visitation in Waco. Following cremation, interment will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Edgar County, Illinois. Dolores was born April 9, 1931 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Elmer and Bessie Long. Her family resided in Clinton, Indiana. She received her degree in music from Indiana State University and began her career in teaching band in Big Spring, Texas in 1953. Her career in teaching spanned several Texas towns such as Brownwood, Fairfield, Reicher High School, Moody and finished her teaching career in China Spring as an English teacher. Dolores married Omar McKim in 1961 and moved to Waco from Fairfield at that time. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son, David Ray McKim and wife, Diana of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren, Daniel and Bonnie; and a great grandson, Logan.
