Dolores Maciel June 28, 1950 - August 21, 2012 Dolores "Dodie" Maciel of Waco peacefully went to her Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Dodie was born June 28, 1950 in Waco, Texas to Rudy and Eva Lopez. Dodie devoted her life caring for others as a nurse for 40 plus years. She loved her family gatherings, as well as her social life with family and friends. She will always be remembered for her charismatic personality and contagious laugh, along with her funny jokes. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Joe A. Maciel, Sr.; children, Elizabeth Maciel, Joe A. Maciel, Jr., and Marisa Maciel; grandchildren, Angelo and Christopher Torres; sisters, Helen Aguilar and husband, Robert, Christine Olvera and husband, Joe; brothers, Dr. Rudy Lopez and wife, Alice, Johnny Lopez and wife, Mary, Gilbert and Louis Lopez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
