Domingo ''Mingo'' Ruiz

March 14, 1937 — May 15, 2002

RUIZ, DOMINGO “MINGO” Domingo “Mingo” Ruiz, age 65, of Waco died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at his residence. Services will be 10:00AM Saturday, May 18 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. with Rev. Freddie Salinas officiating. Burial will follow at McGregor Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM Friday, May 17 at the funeral home. Mr. Ruiz was born in Orange Grove, Texas to Apolonio and Guadalupe Ruiz. He lived in Goshen, Indiana for 25 years before moving to Waco. He was employed by Fabwel for 16 years and retired from there. His catch phrase was “Come on with it”. He loved the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle and will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include wife, Frances “Ponch” Ruiz of Waco; daughters, Cynthia Garcia of Riesel and Yanalda Leija of Waco; sons, Domingo John Ruiz, II of Goshen, Indiana and David Ruiz of Waco; 15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Jacoba Casarez of McGregor and Martina Maldonatho of Elmaraige, Arizona and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Carlos Castro, Jesse Reyes, Robert Moreno, Damon “Country” Eubanks, Marvin Lamont, and Manuel Hurerte. Honorary pallbearers are Ruben Garcia, and Paul De Los Santos, Sr. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
