Donald Eugene Tanner, passed away July 5, 2024, at Scott and White in Temple, Texas.
Celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., July 16, 2024, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.
Don Tanner was born in Waco, Texas, on August 30, 1957, to Bobbie and Alta Tanner. He graduated from Waco High in 1975. Industrial sales were Don’s calling; he worked at Richards Equipment until 2012, followed by a position at Dupuy Oxygen until his retirement in 2023. Hunting and fishing brought him immense joy, and he won several bass tournaments in the early '90s. Don was also passionate about skeet shooting and served as the President of the Waco Skeet and Trap Club for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Joe Tanner; and his brother-in-law, Chuck White.
Don is survived by his mother, Alta Tanner; his sisters, Anita White and Karen Urbanovsky; his son, Matthew Tanner; his daughter, Melissa Shilling; and his grandsons, Hunter and Greyson Tanner.
