Donald Michael Deinhart

July 1, 1956 — December 11, 2020

Donald Michael “Don” Deinhart passed away from congestive heart failure on Friday, December 11, 2020. Visitation hours will start at 8:00 a.m., with chapel services to begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, with Deacon Garza and Rev. Benjamin Magnaye officiating at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Don was born July 1, 1956, in Buffalo, New York, to Donald Charles and Juanita Ann Deinhart. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature of all varieties. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, horseback riding, boating and river rafting. Don adored country drives and exploring beautiful places, from the mountains in Colorado, castles and valleys in Germany, and local lakes found in Texas Parks and Wildlife magazines. He was always intellectually curious about the history of our country, ancestry, and anything older than 100 years old. Don had a passion for helping his friends and family find homes and properties of their dreams. His own research and desire to take each person out on a weekend country drive ultimately led to many falling in love with a new place, and created a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the countryside that he loved so much. Don had an immense love for music. He would always fully immerse himself, whether it be jamming out on a guitar at home with the speakers on blast, coaching his daughter through her latest piano songs, staying all weekend to hear his favorite Irish music festival participants, or listening and singing along to his favorite musicians such as Peter Gabriel or Billy Sheehan. He worked for Citigroup as a Lead Data Infrastructure Analyst, where he made many lifelong friendships. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Charles Deinhart. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Deinhart; caring mother, Juanita Ann Deinhart; adoring sister, Cherie Wagner; and beautiful children, Rachel Christina Deinhart and Michael Jacob Deinhart, who he cherished very much. Memorials may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org, which was very near and dear to his heart. The family invites you to leave a message or memory on our “Tribute Wall” at www.WHBfamily.com.
