Donald R. Marlow August 4, 1933 September 1, 2012 Donald R. Marlow, 79, of Waco died Saturday, September 1, 2012. Graveside services will be at Oakwood Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday September 4, with the Reverend Chris Mesa officiating. Donald was born August 4, 1933 to A.L. and Jewell Marlow in Waco. He attended Waco public schools graduating from Waco High School in 1950 and graduating from Baylor University in 1954. On June 5, 1954, he married Shirley Brown Marlow. They were married for 57 years and had four wonderful children and six grandchildren. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1956, being discharged as 1st Lieutenant. At that time he went into the furniture business and operated Marlow Furniture for 55 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Waco for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his parents; his brothers, Raymond Marlow and Albert Buster Marlow, and sister, Esther Cowan. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Closs and husband, J. Austin of Waco, Millie Marlow of Austin, Marsha Marlow of Austin, and Molly Holloway and husband, Brian of Garland; grandchildren J. Closs, Don Closs, Shannon Schwarting, Jake Holloway, Clif Holloway, and Neal Holloway; and sister, Doris Dudley and husband, Richard of Waco.
