Dora Kate Howell May 29, 1914 - April 11, 2011 Dora Kate Howell of Waco passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at Royal Manor. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Hulitt Gloer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Dora Kate was born May 29, 1914, in Comanche, Texas, to Andrew and Carrie Turner Palmer. She grew up in Comanche. She loved children and taught pre-school at Jack and Jill. Dora Kate was a very faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, a true prayer warrior, and was a member of Baylor Senior Adult Choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.B. Howell; and her brother, Don Palmer. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Pallbearers are Jonathan Grant, Jim Huggins, Tom Purdy, Ken Sury, Norm Griswold and Jim Winton. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Calvary Baptist Church.
